Founder, CANDOR Candy
Native Clevelander. Adamant New Yorker. Fifteen years in healthcare strategy and operations roles across consulting, non-profit, and tech/VC. Proud zig-zagger into brick&mortar small business. Karaoke lover. Video game enthusiast. Lifelong poet.
Widely known by friends, family, and colleagues for her candor; thrilled to be now known by her community for her Candor.
A Fort Greene story.
After ten years in the neighborhood, Cat and her husband Farhan are thrilled to dive into a new adventure.
Their vision: a local perusable shop that can comfortably fit strollers and crowds; a too-rare ‘third space’ lined with cozy velvet banquettes, elevated in decor, filled with warm and welcoming staff.
They dreamed it would grow into a Fort Greene institution — where neighbors at every age and stage found a slice of everyday delight.
CANDOR Candy opened our doors March 31, 2026; whether you’re traveling through town or have lived a lifetime around the corner, we hope you’ll drop by to explore our selection of international sweets, specialty staples, and giftable surprises!
Our deepest gratitude to Brooklyn-based firm Brian Cash Works, who not only executed but upleveled our vision beyond our wildest dreams, accomplishing the architectural build out in tandem with the design-forward interior.

In our founding year, Candor is coming out swinging to ensure we’re making meaningful impact inside + outside our four walls.
We’ve set explicit goals to ramp our pay rate for all team members significantly above minimum wage (+$5), and are committed to donating $1 to NYC foodbanks for every Instagram follower, Substack subscriber, and Google review we accrue in 2026.

Our candy wall - 60 bins, fully peanut + treenut free - hosts an ever rotating selection of sweet and sour gummy candy alongside chocolate, saltwater taffy, sweet-tart style pressed candy, and nostalgic classics (think: single flavor bulk Pez, Bit-of-Honeys, those strawberry wrapped hard candys from moms purse)
We source our candy from every nook and cranny this world has to offer, and are constantly asking our neighbors what they’d love for us to bring in - whether from their travels, their childhoods, or their hometowns abroad!
